Sacramento Arts Advocate is a nonprofit endeavor to raise
public awareness about the vital, cultural, educational and
economic role of the arts in our communities and to engage
residents of the greater Sacramento region in advocating
for the arts.
Sacramento has many museums, orchestras, art galleries,
theatre companies, dance companies, opera companies and
visual and performing arts programs for youth. The region is
blessed with hundreds of talented artists and performers.
Elected representatives, civic and community leaders, heads
of corporations and public benefit organizations rely on input and information from their constituency and consumers. When you tell them that the Arts are important to you, the Arts will become important to them.
This website is a resource to help you pARTicipate in building public awareness about the arts contributing to the quality of life where you live and work. Please be
a Sacramento Arts Advocate.
More than ever before people are making choices about where they live, where they work and where they go to school based upon the quality of life in a city. Visual, performing and literary arts have a significant impact on the quality of life in the greater Sacramento region. Preserve this quality of life by keeping your elected officials informed about how arts are important to you and your family.
